Nice casual game

Really entertaining! With pretty graphics or some kind of back story, this game would fetch a stellar rating.

I was ready for a one-slice mode!

How's this for a story: You are a surgeon and the red shapes are cancer.

A looooooottttt of work in this game!

We can tell that you put a whole lot a work in the making of this game.

The game is well thought out. Offers a challenge, a nice learning curve. Even if the story is pretty much absent and not captivating at all, the nice increase in skills, challenges and everything else kept me entertained for a long time.

I want to praise you on the quality of the engine! The fights are smooth. I am amazed at how you kept the balance throughout the game (with items + stats + enemy strength, etc.). Thus, your engine seems flawless. Also, the way everything is animated, the artworks, the sound FX, all of that blends perfectly. I can not state enough how the overall quality of the game is impressive.

However, the soundtrack becomes boring real quick. Also, as equally annoying is the fact that you employed a single voice actor for all of the dialogue. Finally, I have to agree with Sensitive Jerk: while the entire personalization of the character is great at the beginning, it rapidly becomes a double-edged sword becomes of its complexity. Maybe it makes sense for you because you know all of the mathematical equations ruling the game... but for a simple player, it doesn't make much sense to have that many stats to improve. Some of them seem redundant. Some of them seem important. Some of them seem so obscure that we just can't imagine why they are relevant. The game is less immersive for the player when he starts questioning himself about the purpose/relevance/effects of all those stats.
Also, the enormous quantity of stats and numbers make for an ugly screen. See, I really admire the complexity of the design but it seems that simpler could be better in that case.

Anyway, you create a great game and the good news is that you can still improve to make #2 even better. That will justify us to sit again and battle through hordes of wrestlers that come from your imagination.

It was a pleasure to read you.
Thanks for the polite and clean feedback. See you soon.

Nice retro game

AHAH! Really liked it. Nice retro feel. Colors and graphics remind me of Excitebike.
I think the music shares a few notes with Gillette - Don't want no short dick man. AHAHAH!

I think the "game over" screen should display your distance. Maybe also my personal best, which I could try to beat.

In a future version, I'd like to see some powerups, levels, and why not a few enemies... ;)

Holmfry responds:

Excellent feedback, particularly the bit about the game over screen displaying your score. I'm taking notes and will keep this all in mind for a future update :).

For now, if you have an Xbox, you can try that version for more levels! :). Thanks for the great review!

Good game

Perfect little time waster. Well coded. Music is awesome and fits the game visuals perfectly.
I don't know how to improve... different levels with different backgrounds maybe?
Each level with a increasing difficulty and unlockable badass guitars? :)

Soltex responds:

Yeah Could be.

Thanks for the review!

Flawless

This game is awesome!! From the controls, to the graphics, & sounds.... everything is perfect. What amazes me the most is the incredible job at coding + game design behind such a masterpiece. That's an heroic achievement and you are my idol.

Xplored responds:

Thank you so much!
A Masterpiece? ...well, maybe it's too much.
But thank you for saying it!

uh?

The artwork is nice. It's well done.

However, I wonder why you rated this M for mature.
Also, shouldn't this be an "interactie movie" (and therefore classified as "game" rather than "movie")?

It's nice to see the progression of the drawing frame by frame. Frame 1 is already advanced though. I would be curious to see how it started out and then how you applied color.

Cheers,
JB

I think ill change the category cheers!!

Simple, elegant and addictive

Hi HybridMind,

Thanks for the great game. It is highly addictive and a perfect time waster. The music is great, the animation as well... It is fun to figure out the perfect spot to start the reaction depending on each little robot's position. It takes patience and luck sometimes. I just can't stop playing.
